Sympathy is for Suckaz

about

When you allow fear and sadness to come into your life, they will do more than bring you down. It will take the reins away from you, and steer you onto an entirely different path. When darkness takes hold, you don't want someone that is simply going to be sad with you. Instead, you want someone that is going to face you, and tell you how to get out of it. This is the message behind artist JClay’s latest single “Sympathy Is For Suckaz”. Producer Harry Beats delivers a soothing, touching instrumental that elevates the track with a set of delightfully hopeful piano keys.

Sympathy Is a subject JClay has been not afraid to criticize in the past, and one that he elaborates on further with this track. While the concept of sympathy may seem to be comforting and beneficial to someone on the surface, he wants the audience to truly understand the meaning and its implications. He describes it rather as a paradox, simply matching a person's negative energy with your own. Since when has fighting fire with fire ever accomplished anything? Being sympathetic to a person may provide some temporary comfort, but to really help someone, you must be willing to tell them some hard truths. That these feelings will only continue to pervade their daily life unless they get up, and do something about it. “Sympathy For Suckaz” is a track made for those who are tired of wallowing in the mud. It’s the water you need to wash off and start fresh mentally. This is your story, after all. So grab a pen, and start writing it!

lyrics

What's the long face for
Why you being the wrong kind of faithful
Against the very things that you pray for
That's why I'm in the booth like a pay phone , ay
Giving you the truth that you came for
But you might not wanna hear it
This from Spirit this no lyrics
This that era of the mirrors
Come be near us
Don't be serious
There's no need to fear us
I'm just saying don't be beerers
I will rise for you
I will fly for you
I will live for you
I ain't gone die for you
That's just dumb
You trying to guilt for joy
Instead of having fun
You'd rather grab and gun
And be the hero of your imagination
While you dodge the sun
Til you zeroed in your fascinating
In your wishing well
Saying I wish coulda woulds
Never wish another well
But would wish a hitta would
You prolly like, hecks yeah
I just flex stare
And if you do fight
You just prove that you just scared
Cuz you don't want them to hurt you, allll
They just want some love yalllll, ay

That's why we troll the controllers
Cuz there is no control
When you let go, you'll have more of
Happiness to spare
Wings flapping in the air
Laughing in yo chariot
Life is so fair

Creators create in their own image
So what does your imagination say is in it
Giving haters your attention
Yeah you pay them folk
Cuz haters gone hate
That's what you made em for
Well defined em
Asking why you keep finding them
Refining them like you aligned wit em
Designing em
Just changed yo mind
See the kind in em
Because there's only one of a kind
Stop upside-down nining em
No matter how you split it
Spirit still spirit
Matter doesn't have to matter
Which one are you feeling
No matter how you split it
Spirit still spirit
Matter doesn't have to matter
Which one are you feeling
