about

There is strength behind words, and artist JClay is flexing his own with full force in this track titled ‘Lani Man’. Produced by Xander, the oppressive beat filled with a thunderous bass is meant to blow the speakers right out of a car. The track is a vocal rally, giving the listener a strong sense of courage, and faith in both themselves and their higher power. It's the equivalent of artist JClay beating his chest, and showing his lack of fear against the darkness.

However, while JClay storms onto the track like a warcry, his message is the opposite. There is no room for emotions such as anger or hate towards an opposition. In order to strive and prosper in this life, the key is to not have an enemy at all. Expending energy to such emotions is counterproductive, with love being the only real weapon, and JClay encourages his audience to understand this through a set of bars he peppers onto the track with gusto.

Through it all, JClay hopes to be a voice of comfort to one's soul. “When you need that reminder, just listen to me,” he states firmly before the final chorus. Lani Man feels like a wake-up call to those sleeping on themselves. A much-needed shake of the shoulder to remind them of who they are, and most importantly, who they can be.

lyrics

Tell 'em

Lived there
Did that
I knew I had to skip
Ain't no dip backs
Tell em disregard me
Up on dispatch
It's like this mystery
Met his mismatch
But all this time timing
Had it's purpose
It's time to bring mo light, am I a serpent
Or a servant, I am so observant
Can you really see, since it's only just the surface

He who helps first gets the upper hand
When you stand under you understand
Keep you head bowed, watch yo head get crowned
Under God never means under man
All of our earth is the motherland
Yall just like to separate
Click back up blaming the other man
Never showing grace like you ain't never ate
Probably seeing me as enemy
Because I see no one as such
And I will never fuel hateful energy
Especially when you can love just as much
One will die out on its own
The other will remain just as shown
You can pledge your allegiance toward death and defeated
Or join me immediately home

Why be where you ain't
Why see what you can't
Why ask why me
Why be wallowing in in self pity and hate
Why be in angst
Checking them banks
Only when it's full there's no stressing just thanks
Only a fool puts blessings in blanks
Can I be frank
Naw yall ain't ready
You think this too heavy
Just leave it to

Lani Man
Yeah
Lani Man
He's Lani Man
I am
Lani Man
Ay ay ay ay

Living here
Doin' this
I don't care for loss
So there's no losing this
You're free to fight for limits
While I'm choosing bliss
I am one of one
So I'm improving this
There's always a limit when you approaching zero
But the games already won
Stop tryna be its hero
Well be it then
Let me see it then
We all know who you s'posed to be
Stop being Bens
Like I been this
And I been that
And I been been been
I just been back

From now on no references
To your past presences
I am the messenger
And these are your messages
Check 'em
And make em your preferences, breakfasts,
Emphasis on the breakfasts
It's yo daily bread or your daily coffee
Or yo daily prayer or daily offering
To turn on what's off again
Don't find yourself lost again
Find yo self
Which is not yo self at all
Mind yo self
When you true self tries to call
Which is never seizing
Which is never ending
I am many of many interventions
Inner vision to begin ascension
Look or listen lose your inhibitions
Focus on missions not on what is missing
Lani Man's just the ignition
Forgiveness is key
Travel the distance that only you see
Making the difference that only you keep
When you need that reminder
Just listen to me
He's

Lani Man
Lani Man
He's Lani Man
Lani Man
He's
