Perspective is everything. It can rewrite the world around you, as it shows you thoughts or ideas you would have never approached from your side of things. ‘The Unforgiven’ seeks to give people a window into someone else’s darkness, and in doing so maybe make them get past their own. Producer Proffeny brings a wonderfully mellow instrumental filled with exquisite melodies, all brought together by JClay and Nerd Lady, who comes in on the second verse to detail how that feeling has confined her in her own life.

Fear, stress, and panic can truly make you a prisoner. The world around you can seem distant because you feel so deeply trapped within yourself. It creates a potent toxicity that can eat away at you, one JClay seeks to discuss in the chorus.
